PC Gamers--What's the Learning Curve on the Xbox Controller?

Hi there,


I'm an old-skool PC gaming fan (think original Pool of Radiance), but purchased an Xbox 360 for the media and Netflix capabilities. I've got a couple of games for it that work well (Mortal Kombat). I gave MW3 a try, but I simply can't get the FPS controls down on the Xbox 360 controller.



Using the mouse & keyboard for twenty years has worked well, but I'm thinking that I may be missing out on a lot of awesome games. Since I have an Xbox, I'm considering giving some games a chance, but using the analog stick sucks major ass.



How long did it take you keyboard and mouse guys to get used to the controller? Especially in FPS games?
